Product reports

The two reports in a product: the lessons report, with views and ratings, and the points ranking of the product, by period.

Each product has two reports of its own, in the Reports group of the product tabs. Lessons shows what students watched and rated in each lesson. Ranking shows who got the most points in this product. The reports for the whole account are in the Reports menu of the dashboard. See Reports.

Lessons report

Open the product in Content → Products and click Reports → Lessons. The screen is Lessons report.

The most important rule: the numbers change once a day. The Updated every 24 hours badge in the header reminds you. What a student did today shows tomorrow.

The four numbers at the top

CardWhat it shows
Students with progressHow many students already have progress recorded in the product. Below it, "students with access": how many have the product. On a free product, this line does not show
AccessesHow many times students opened the lessons of this product
Average progressThe average progress among the students with progress, not among all students with access. Below it, how many lessons were completed in total
Likes / dislikesThe share of ratings that are positive, with the number of likes and dislikes

This is why the average progress can be high when few students study: it counts only the students who started.

The lessons list

Below the numbers, the lessons show by module, in the order of the Lessons screen. A submodule shows as "Module › Submodule".

  • Each row shows the views of the lesson, the likes and the dislikes.
  • A draft lesson has the Draft mark.
  • Click the title to open the lesson editor.

In a blog, the lessons with no module show at the end, in a group with no title. In the other formats, a lesson outside a module is not in the report, because it also does not show for the student.

Product ranking

Click Reports → Ranking. It is the points leaderboard of this product only.

The points that students got in this product count: completed lessons, progress milestones, passed exam, certificate, comments and questions. The value of each one follows the points settings of the account. A manual points adjustment counts here only if you linked it to this product.

Period

In the header, Period chooses the range: This month, Last month, All time or Custom. For Custom, choose the dates in the filter next to it.

  • If you choose a preset period, the typed dates are cleared.
  • The ranking of a month counts only the points of that month. It starts again when the month changes, and gives a chance to students who just came in.

What shows

  • Three cards for the period: Participants (how many students earned points in this product in the period), Total points and Average per student.
  • The podium of the top three, with the points of each one.
  • From the fourth position on, the list with Position, Student, Points in period, Last access on and Progress in the product.

Click a row, or the podium, to open the student's profile.

  • The ranking goes up to position 100.
  • On a tie, the alphabetical order of the name applies.
  • With no points in the period, the screen shows Empty ranking.

Automatic points take about 15 minutes to get into the dashboard ranking. A manual adjustment shows at once. In the student area, the ranking changes once a day.

Good to know

Report per student.

To see how one student is doing, use the student's profile: the Products tab and the progress report. See Student profile.

Likes and dislikes.

These are the ratings students give to the lessons. A deleted lesson leaves the report.

Who leaves the ranking.

Deleted students do not show in the ranking.
