Getting started

The dashboard on your first sign-in

What you see when you enter the dashboard: the Home page and its blocks, the menu, the search, keyboard shortcuts, dark mode and Access as student.

The dashboard is where you and your team manage the account. When you sign in, you land on Home. It sums up the health of your platform and lists what is waiting for you.

How it works

Whoever enters the dashboard is an administrator. Students sign in somewhere else: the student area, with their own login.

Each administrator sees in the menu only what their permissions allow. A teammate with restricted access may see a shorter menu than yours.

The dashboard adapts to the screen size:

  • On a computer, the menu is a strip at the top. If you prefer, it becomes a side column.
  • On a phone, the menu is a drawer. It opens from the menu button in the top left corner.

The menu

ItemWhat it holds
HomeThe home page, with the blocks described below
ContentProducts (showcases, products, modules and lessons), Drip content (the release rules) and Banners. Diamonds appears when the Diamond Funnel is enabled in the account
StudentsStudents (the list), Tags and Imports
SalesSales (the sales received from the gateways) and Deliveries
SupportComments, Questions, Support (the tickets) and FAQ, with the number of pending items next to each
ReportsThe Engagement, Learning and Operations groups, and Exports
SettingsThe Customization, Access & security, Features and Integrations groups. Instances appears when the account has clones

Your avatar menu sits in the top right corner. It holds:

  • Access as student;
  • light or dark mode, the display size and the menu layout;
  • Profile;
  • Billing and Plan, for those with permission;
  • Log out.

To open the search, click the magnifying glass in the top right corner. Or press ⌘K (Ctrl+K on Windows and Linux).

The search finds dashboard screens and content: products, modules and lessons.

  • Before you type, it shows Recent and Go to. Go to lists the most used screens: Home, Products, Students, Sales, Deliveries, Reports and Settings.
  • It understands synonyms. "social media" finds Sharing. "site color" finds the student area appearance.
  • It also accepts the terms in Portuguese.
  • Use the arrow keys to navigate, Enter to open and Esc to close.

Keyboard shortcuts

Press ⌘/ (Ctrl+/) to see the Keyboard shortcuts list. On a Mac, the modifier is ⌥ (Option). On Windows and Linux, it is Alt.

ShortcutDoes
⌥1Opens Products
⌥2Opens Students
⌥3Opens Sales
⌥4Access as student, in a new tab
⌘KSearch everything
⌘SSave the screen (when there are changes)
⌘/Show these shortcuts

A shortcut only shows up if you have permission for its screen.

The blocks on the Home page

The page opens with a greeting and the date. The Updated daily label explains the rhythm of the numbers:

  • Consolidated numbers are recalculated every day at midnight.
  • Today's sign-ins and the attention queues update throughout the day.

Notices at the top

These blocks only appear when there is something to handle:

  • Cademí support needs your authorization. Cademí's support team asked to make a change in your account. It waits for your decision. See Cademí support access.
  • Support on other platforms. Appears in an account that has clones. It shows the pending support items of the clones, collapsed into a bar with the total. Each row opens the other dashboard in a new tab.
  • Shall we make Cademí look like you? Appears in a new account. It is the invitation to the Welcome step of the settings. It takes two minutes and goes away on its own when you finish it.
  • Cademí notices. System notices (outstanding invoices, student limit reached), alerts and banners. You can dismiss some with Got it or Close notice. The others stay visible until the situation is resolved.

The numbers

There are four indicators. Each one leads to the report it comes from.

  • Students: the total of registered students, updated once a day. It also shows how many were active in the last 7 days. If the plan has a limit, a bar shows the percentage used.
  • New this month: sign-ups in the current month. The change compares with the whole previous month.
  • Accesses today: students who signed in today. It refreshes every 30 minutes.
  • Certificates issued.

Next to them sits the Sign-ups and enrollments in the last 12 months chart. It separates New sign-ups from Enrollments from sales. The text above the chart compares the last 4 weeks with the 4 before.

Needs attention

This block lists the queues waiting for an action from you. Each queue shows its number and leads to the screen already filtered:

  • Communications with errors
  • Invalid emails
  • Products without an offer
  • Comments to approve
  • Unanswered questions
  • Open tickets
  • Communications in queue
  • Failed webhooks
  • Never accessed

The first three and the last one stay in view, even at zero. The others only appear when something is pending. With no queue in view, the block says All caught up.

The other blocks

  • Sign-ins in the last 30 days. Students grouped by their last sign-in: Today, Yesterday, 2 to 7 days, 8 to 14 days and 15 to 30 days.
  • Points ranking. The top five, by gamification Points or by completed Lessons. View all opens the ranking report. Until someone scores, the block says No one has scored yet.
  • Recent Activity. What your students did last: enrollments, comments, questions and certificates. View all opens the full list, by activity type.
  • What's new. The three latest articles about Cademí launches and improvements. View all opens the What's new page, with search and a category filter. What you have already read gets the Read mark.

Light and dark mode

  1. Open the avatar menu.
  2. Click the Light mode or Dark mode row.

The row shows the current mode. Each click switches the mode. In the same list:

  • Size makes the whole interface larger or smaller, with the minus and plus buttons. Click the percentage to go back to the default.
  • Centered menu or Side menu swaps the strip at the top for the side column. To collapse the column, use Collapse menu, at its bottom.

The mode and the size are stored in the browser you use. The menu layout is saved in your administrator account.

Access as student

Access as student opens the student area in a new tab, as a test student. It is in the avatar menu, or use ⌥4. The screen says: Logged in as admin-student.

Use it to check the showcase, a product page, a lesson or the layout. No real student changes.

What the test student sees:

  • They have lifetime access to the whole catalog.
  • They see what is in Draft and Unlisted. What is Hidden stays hidden.
  • They see everything open, with no release rules or schedule.
  • They are shared by all administrators of the account.

Want to see what a real student sees? Open the student's profile and use Log in as the student. Then you see their enrollments, schedule and locks. Everything you do counts as that student's action, including completing lessons and earning points. See The student profile.

Help and support

In the bottom right corner, the Help and support button opens Cademí support's WhatsApp and the Help center. You can collapse the button. It comes back through the same bubble. With the menu as a column, the two links sit at the bottom of the column.
