# Certificates report

> How many certificates the account issues, per product and per month, and the list of who issued each one, with the public validation and the PDF.

The certificates report shows how many certificates the account issues, per product and over time. From it you open the list of who issued each product's certificate.

## What it is for

- **Issuances far above the number who finished the course.** The certificate criterion is set to **Always available**, and students grab the certificate on day one. Check the criterion in the product.
- **A product with the certificate on and zero issuances.** The criterion may be an exam nobody passed or a percentage nobody reached. Compare with the [exams report](https://help.cademi.cloud/en/relatorios/provas.md) and the [products report](https://help.cademi.cloud/en/relatorios/produtos.md).
- **To check a certificate someone presented.** Find the student in the product's list and use **Validate certificate**. The public page says whether it is valid or was revoked.

The report is in **Reports > Certificates**, in the **Learning** group.

## What counts as an issuance

- An **issuance** is a certificate issued to a student.
- Reissuing a certificate (replacing the previous one) does not count a second time.
- A deleted certificate (**Delete issuance**, in the student profile) leaves the count. The numbers at the top and the chart show the deletion the next day.

## The numbers and the chart

At the top, three numbers:

| Number | What it measures |
|---|---|
| **Certificates issued** | The certificates of students outside the trash |
| **Products with certificate** | The products with the certificate turned on |
| **Issued to removed students** | The certificates of students who are in the trash. They leave the total and sit here, so they do not vanish |

**Issuances in the last 12 months** shows the **Certificates issued per month**, with the period total.

## The product list

The list shows the products with the certificate turned on. The product with the most issuances comes first.

| Column | What it measures |
|---|---|
| **Product** | The showcase and the name. The name and the row arrow open the product |
| **Issuances** | How many certificates the product issued. Click the number to see who issued (**View this product's issuances**) |

Some certificates come from products the list does not show: deleted, outside a showcase or with the certificate turned off after issuing. They appear in the **Other products (deleted or without an active certificate)** row, with the names of the two largest. That way the column adds up to the number at the top.

### Filter

The **Product** chip filters the whole screen: the three numbers, the chart and the list. With the chip, the **Other products** row disappears.

## See who issued

1. Open **Reports > Certificates**.
2. On the product's row, click the **Issuances** number (**View this product's issuances**).

The product's list of issuances opens. The total shows in the subtitle (**N issuances**).

- **Period**: **All time** (the default), **This month**, **Last month** or **Custom**. The period counts by the issue date.
- Each row is one issuance: **ID**, **Student** (name and email) and **Issued on**.
- Each row has three actions: **Validate certificate** (opens the public validation page), **Open certificate PDF** and **View student**.

If the product's certificate is released by exam, the list also shows **Exam Score**. The column has the score and the date of the most recent result. A student with no result shows **Issued without evaluation**. This means an administrator issued the certificate, or the criterion was different when the student requested it.

A student who issued twice in the same product appears in two rows. The list is of issuances, not of students.

## Good to know

- **Updated every 24 hours.** The numbers at the top and the chart without a filter update once a day. The list, the list of who issued and the numbers with the **Product** chip are calculated on the spot. That is why an issuance from today shows in the list before it enters the number at the top.
- **Issued to removed students.** These only return to the total if the student is restored from the trash.
- **Also in the products report.** It shows the same **Certificates** column, with the same count.

## Frequently asked questions

**I deleted a certificate and the number at the top did not change.** The numbers at the top and the chart show the deletion the next day.

**A student shows twice in the product's list.** They issued the certificate twice. The list is of issuances, not of students.

**Why does it show Issued without evaluation?** The certificate depends on an exam, but the student has no result. An administrator issued the certificate, or the criterion was different when the student requested it.
