# Glossary

> Cademí's words in alphabetical order, from access to webhook: what each one means in the dashboard and the most common mix-ups between similar terms.

The words the dashboard uses, in alphabetical order. When two terms get mixed up, the entry says how to tell them apart.

- **Access**: the verdict for a student and a product: can they open it, and until when. It combines the student's enrollments, free products, free registration and the adjustments made just for them.
- **Access as student**: the avatar menu button that opens the student area as a test student. No real student changes. See [The dashboard on your first sign-in](https://help.cademi.cloud/en/comecando/o-painel.md).
- **Access time**: how long each product in a delivery stays open. It is lifetime or a term in hours, days, weeks, months or years.
- **Account**: your Cademí platform, with its students, administrators, content and sales.
- **Active student**: someone who signed in to the student area in the last 30 days. It is a measure of engagement.
- **Active student is not active enrollment**: three different things. An active student signed in recently. An active enrollment is not suspended or revoked. Access says whether they can open the product today. An active enrollment can be expired.
- **Administrator**: whoever operates the dashboard. Not a student, even when using the same email.
- **Awaiting payment (bank slip or PIX)**: the payment is not approved yet. Nothing is released until the gateway reports it paid.
- **Banner**: the featured image in the student area, with a link. It gives access to nothing.
- **Blog**: a product format with posts and no modules.
- **Certificate**: issued per student and product, when the student requests it. The student can request it when they meet the certificate criterion.
- **Clone**: an account that receives content from another one. Students, sales and reports stay separate. You edit content in the source account.
- **Cohort**: a release schedule tied to a tag. Editing the schedule changes everyone already in it.
- **Coming soon**: the release rule that shows the module or lesson locked. That way the student knows it is on the way.
- **Comment**: the public conversation below a lesson.
- **Completed**: a lesson the student marked, that the player reported as finished, or whose exam was submitted. It counts toward progress, even with a failed exam.
- **Connected lesson**: the same lesson placed in several products. You edit the content in the source lesson.
- **Copy**: a new product created from another one. From then on, the two are independent.
- **Course**: the default product format, with modules and lessons. The other formats are series, blog, embedded page and shortcut.
- **Custom field**: a profile field created by the account (company, cohort, a code of your own).
- **Dashboard**: where administrators work. Students never see it.
- **Days after purchase**: the release rule that opens a module or lesson N days after purchase. The count uses the student's first purchase that is still valid.
- **Delivery**: what a sale is worth: the products, access time, schedule and tags the buyer receives. It links the product code on the gateway to Cademí products. Found in **Sales > Deliveries**.
- **Diamond Funnel**: the launch funnel, with free lessons, stages and triggers. A lead is only won when they buy the delivery the funnel expects.
- **Draft**: the initial status of everything. Only administrators see it.
- **Drip content**: the screen, under **Content**, where the release schedules live.
- **Embedded page**: a product format that shows an external page inside the student area.
- **Enrollment**: a delivery granted to a student. It comes from a sale, a subscription or an administrator (manual). It can be active, suspended or revoked.
- **Exam**: the assessment shown by a lesson, with questions, attempts and a grade.
- **FAQ**: the account's public answers, on the **FAQ** screen. They only appear when published.
- **Free product**: a product open to every registered student, with no enrollment.
- **Free registration**: a student who signed up without buying. It can be on the login page, through Google or through an external form. They receive the account's free delivery, if there is one.
- **Gateway**: the system where the sale happens (Hotmart, Eduzz, Kiwify, Stripe and others). It charges and tells Cademí about each sale event.
- **Group**: a set of showcases. A delivery can release a whole group.
- **Hidden**: the status that removes a product or showcase from listings. Those who own the product still open it by link. Not to be confused with the **Hidden** release rule: it keeps that module or lesson unavailable.
- **Import**: the spreadsheet that creates students and manual enrollments all at once, in **Students > Imports**.
- **Lesson**: the unit of content inside a module: video, text, file, exam or live lesson.
- **Log in as the student**: in a student's profile, entering the area as them, with their enrollments and locks. Whatever you do counts as their action.
- **Module**: the section that groups lessons inside a product. In a series, it is called a part or a season.
- **Offer URL**: the sales page where a student who sees a product but does not own it is sent.
- **One-time sale**: the delivery paid once, with lifetime access or a fixed access time.
- **Order bump**: an extra item in the same checkout. It only gives access when its code has a delivery. If it should not give access, put the code on the ignored codes list.
- **Overdue**: the gateway reported a late payment. The enrollment is suspended.
- **Passed**: the exam grade reached the passing grade. Passing opens exam release rules and gives exam points and exam-based certificates. Just completing the exam does not.
- **Per-student adjustment**: a change made for one student only, in their profile. It can be a different access time, a different release schedule, or the schedule removed. The delivery does not change.
- **Points and ranking**: gamification. Student actions earn points. The ranking compares students.
- **Product**: what is sold and accessed: a course, a series, a blog, an embedded page or a shortcut.
- **Progress**: completed lessons divided by the lessons the student can see.
- **Published**: the status that makes a showcase, product, module or lesson visible to students. Publishing gives no access.
- **Question**: a support question about a lesson, with an official answer. Not an exam question.
- **Refund and chargeback**: the gateway returned the money. The enrollment is suspended right away.
- **Release rule**: says when a module or lesson opens: free access, hidden, coming soon, days after purchase, scheduled date, test approval or completion percentage.
- **Release schedule**: the set of release rules of a product. Each product has a default schedule. The others are tied to a tag. That is how a cohort gets its name.
- **Sale**: the notification the gateway sends (approved, awaiting payment, refunded, canceled, renewed). Found in **Sales > Sales**.
- **Series**: a product format organized in parts or seasons.
- **Shortcut**: a product that points to another one. It lets the same product appear on two showcases. Progress and access stay on the original.
- **Showcase**: the shelf in the student area where products are displayed. A draft showcase hides the shelf, not a product's direct address.
- **Student**: the learner. Identified by email. A second email is a second student.
- **Student area**: the site students see, with the showcases, lessons, profile and support. Administrators work in the dashboard.
- **Subscription**: the recurring delivery. It is valid while the gateway reports payment. It ignores access time. The word also names the signature at the bottom of the account's emails.
- **Suspended and revoked**: suspended is an enrollment switched off by a refund, late payment or cancellation. It can come back. Revoked is a manual enrollment an administrator sent to the trash. Expired is not a status: the period passed, and the status can still be active.
- **Tag**: a label on a student. Deliveries add tags on purchase. Tags filter the student list and name cohorts.
- **Tag is not a release schedule**: a tag only marks the student. The release schedule tied to the tag decides what opens and when. The delivery chooses which schedule the buyer follows.
- **Terms of acceptance**: the text a student accepts before entering the platform or a product. Those who already accepted do not need to accept again.
- **Ticket**: a private support conversation between the student and the team, on the **Support** screen.
- **Trash**: where a deleted student, product or lesson goes. History stays and comes back on restore.
- **Unlisted**: the product or showcase status visible only to those with access.
- **Visible is not accessible**: the status (published, unlisted, hidden, draft) says who sees the product on the showcase. The enrollment says who can open it. A published product can be locked. An enrollment never reveals a draft.
- **Webhook**: an automatic notice Cademí sends to another system when something happens in the account. Not to be confused with a delivery: the delivery decides what a sale is worth.
